The Actuary as Architect of Resilience
Three days where the actuarial profession in East Africa sets its agenda for the year. Policy, capital, climate, and AI — examined together, by the people who actually build the models that price and protect.
The 11th edition continues the conversation the 10th opened on actuaries as policy architects, and pushes deeper into the structural questions: who gets covered, what gets priced, and how the profession holds itself to a higher technical standard while the ground keeps shifting.
The programme
Three days, one continuous conversation.
Each day takes one half of the profession's map. Single-track sessions; no clashes — the room moves together.

- NHIF / SHIF transition and the actuary's role in financing health
- Climate-resilient social protection: parametric covers for smallholders
- Pensions reform in East Africa: defined-contribution at scale
